Great location but not much in the way of nearby restaurants. 5 star hotel with amazing views!

Loved the location, Hotel was just ok.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/23/07
Loved the location, Hotel was just ok. One of the other reviews said that all the rooms had views of the falls. This is not so. The standard rooms do not, really only about 1/3 of the rooms have views. And I suspect some of those views are obscured by trees. Our standard room was in the back overlooking a small parking lot. Our room was a ...
If you are staying on the Brazilian side of Iguacu Falls, this is the place. Architecture and atmosphere reminiscent of a large South American estate. Rooms are clean and spacious. Food and bar are excellent. Short walk to the falls, with spectacular views even from the hotel property. Location is somewhat secluded, so it's a fairly long ...
When you can walk to the falls in 25 meter....wooooooooooooooooooow!!
Also the service and food is the best. When you eat for dinner, there is always a romantic band singing....
Take your time there!

Bad Room
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/09/06
The outside of the hotel look great and has an excellent location to the falls, but when we went to our room, we were very surprise at how small the room was. The beds were very low and very hard making sleeping very difficult. The bathroom was very small and the toilet was difficult to use due to being very close to the bathtub. There was very ...

Walk to the falls
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/27/06
It is the only hotel in the park on the Brazil side. Nice, old fashioned colonial style hotel. Within a couple of hundred feet of the falls. Feel safe walking around, good staff. Some wildlife (monkeys, coatamundi) on the trails. Very low key.
Disadvantage: the Argentina side of the falls is prettier, more tropical. You can do it as a day trip ...
Excellent location, with the falls only a short distance away. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the waiters were there to help for any need. The hotel only had rooms facing the falls, however we only had a limited view due to a tree branch right in front of our room. This was not a major problem as we walked along the pathway by the hotel ...

Been talking about it ever since
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/31/06
I actually had a great time there, been talking about it ever since. I was with a tour group at the time so I'm sure that helped. The hotel had good food and I enjoyed our room and absolutely loved the location. I didnt really care for the service at the gift store. But overall I had a great time. It has been a while though.
My mother and I were traveling together, but staying in separate rooms. I wanted her to have a view of the falls, if possible, so when I made reservations I asked that one of the rooms be at the front of the hotel, facing the falls; I opted for a "partial falls view" for myself.
My mother's room was right at the front of the hotel, ...
