We were at Ramon's on Ambergris Caye from Feb. 16-23, 2008. We are 53 years old. Terrific location, nice beach, loved Ambergris Caye. Lots of life along this strip. We enjoyed being able to walk into town and there was no need to drive a motor vehicle the whole week we were there. Ramon's was acceptable for us, but it is obvious ...

Loved the location. People are Great. Felt very secure there. Been there 2 times already and going back. We have been elsewhere but my wife always compares every trip to a trip here. Looked around and seem Ramon's has the nicest accomodations.

I can't wait to go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/09/07
every one was really nice and it had great views. The best restaurant on the island is right across the street from the hotel. And all restaurants are in walking distance!
Ramon's Village was a good place to stay on Ambergris. It's close to town, airport, and many good restaurants. My wife and I found Ramon's to be very clean, well maintained, with a great staff.
The food was a bit pricy at the restaurant along with the drinks at the bar ($7.50 US for a margarita). No bones about it, Ramon's ...
My boyfriend and I stayed at Ramon's when we visited Ambergris Caye to scuba dive and snorkel. We tried for Victoria House first, but it was booked. Ramon's is in a great location near downtown and the airport and has the BEST beach and pier in San Pedro Town (that we saw anyway because we walked the length of the coast). The staff was ...

Not worth the $200 a night I spent
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/16/06
Not anything against the place. Its nice, and clean and in a great location. But for the price -- you don't get much! If you are looking to spend less - stay at the Holiday Hotel. You get a Beachfront property in San Pedro, in the middle of town, nothing fancy -but you don't need fancy in San Pedro ---its a no shoes, no shirt, no problem kind of place! For $70 there, versus $200 at Ramon's - a wise investment!

Better than hoped.

I was so relieved when we drove into the resort, it was beautiful. It is so hard to tell through the internet. It is this lush tropical resort, with flowering trees and plants, while being right on the beach. This resort is a collection of thatched roof cabana "neighborhoods", connected by little sand paths. The staff are so kind and ...

Great place for a couple of nights
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/06/06
We stayed one night at Ramon's before heading to Cayo Espanto. The night at Ramon's was fun and relaxing. The location is ideal- close to town yet on the outskirts. We walked to a nearby restaurant and then into town for a Saturday night of dancing. It was so easy to walk back to our room. Other reviews talk about the planes, but ...

Beautiful hotel, perhaps the best in San Pedro
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/01/06
+ Beautiful place, great service, nice rooms (AC, fan, hot water, no TV), near airport.
- A little south of most restaurants, kind of "resorty", expensive compared to other nice hotels (even the scuba is a little exensive)
Overall, best place on the island, but with that comes the expense.
