My boyfriend and I recently stayed at the Buccaneer in beautiful St. Croix for a week and truly loved every minute of it! We started out our first day just relaxing poolside and enjoying the view of the turquoise water. The hotel has a long beach that is quiet and perfect for walking and swimming.
The Buccaneer is simply an overpriced dump. The pool in my back yard is larger than the Grotto pool. The ten year old Odd-Lot chic $10 disposable lounge chairs made the beach experience all the more unipressive (although the beach and water looked nice). I particularly enjoyed waiting for the bugs to come out of the ear and mouth pieces on the ...
we were there working and needed internet access so we finally just rented a conference room to wire access in. the restaurant staff was always helpful but so...slow.... the event staff (who got us the room) was more than awesome but there was one woman at the front desk who literally needs to be canned. she's awful. most of the people are nice ...
My husband and I got married at this hotel. I can highly recommend their wedding packages. We had beautiful and very private wedding ceremony(Whistle Beach)that inspired many of our friends and made them change their mind and plans for their own weddings. It was zero stress. We were swimming and drinking cocktails on the beach 2 hours before our ...

This family run property is outstanding, The service was good, they made us feel important, and like family. You must go to Buck Island with JP (caribbean sea adventures) he is great and they picked us up on the hotel dock, we also enjoyed all the wonderful food on the island you have to try Harveys it is in town and the Conch is great, do not miss Tan Tan Tours We will go back. You will not be disapointed if you go to st. Croix
The resort was not a 5 star as was advertised. We found that descriptions were at best very misleading as to the amenities.
The 2 pools (which are more than a short walk apart) were VERY small (tiny more like it) and not at all what we had expected.
They had claimed that there were 3 restaurants - well, not really. The mermaid and the ...

The absolute worst vacation I have had
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/12/07
Had a group of 15 staying for 10 days. Our rooms were as far apart as you could possibly get them on this large, spread out, hilly facility. We had 8 yr olds to an 80 yr old. To get up and down these hills (and not spend 15 minutes doing so covered in sweat) you must call a shuttle. Sometimes it comes in 30 seconds, sometimes 20 minutes. So I ...
For three Hundred bucks just not enough 5 star anneminities its just too much for lacking so much. I was there for a conference for two days i could have stayed at home but I thought I would treat myself and save myself the commute. ltae night room service cut off. No honor bar to speak of man its easy to be blown away by the view and for the most ...
Buccaneer really impressed me by upgrading my standard room to oceanview. Excellent resort and great service.
One problem I did have was only couple restaurants for dining. Highly recommend the Terrace to dine but it is a little pricey. Views are breathtaking though.
Overall I thought St. Croix was kind quiet, my wife was not too impressed with the shopping there though.
