We booked the restaurant at the hotel for my mother's 80th birthday. The food was okay - not great. The service at this place was the most horrible experience I have ever encountered anywhere. We went for lunch, and it took us THREE HOURS to get our food. The entire staff acted as if they were doing us a huge favor. The views may be spectacular, but that's it's only redeeming quality. I will NEVER go back to this place ever.

The Hilltop House Hotel was the worse hotel my husband and I have ever stayed in. It was as if we had stepped back in time. The place was dirty and very outdated. I have been familiar with the hilltop House since I was very young. I was recently married at the Hilltop House, and enjoyed every bit of my stay and wedding experience!! The hospitality, affordability, charisma, chef and especially the view was a complete joy!!

Having been to the Hilltop House a few years ago, our expectations for a "fine dining experience" were not high. We did however, expect a reasonable experience.
What we found was incredibly disappointing.

Specifically:

Entrance was filthy, making us question our choice
Carpet in dining room is tattered and filthy

you could not find a more spectacular location in the area! it is a shame the place has run down so much . if they would sell and and i was able to fix up and improve staff training,afford total rebuild @ perhaps put several glass penthouse units on the roof WOW !Trump we need you !! P.S ate a Sunday brunch over priced,not so clean and only fair service. sorry won't be back except to enjoy view.
