My family and I recently stayed at Hawthorn Suites at The Victorian Resort in Galveston. Our condo was terrific! The bedroom and living room have plenty of space and are very clean. The view of the gulf was great and we were close to great restaurants and various attractions like Moody Gardens. The front desk staff and housekeeping were very attentive. I highly recommend it. We'll definitely be going back!

We rented the Queen Suite for a total of $300 per night. There had been a FEMA resident there (no real problem really since lots of people lost their homes), but they didn't fix anything or replace the carpet most likely. The place was dirty and run down. I've stayed at cleaner and upgraded places for half the price as I paid here. Checked out early and front desk would not give me money back for the second night.(They claimed they had no money on hand.) Got a check in the mail some six weeks later after call once a week. The only thing I can say is the swimming pool was nice.

We were blown away at how completely dirty our room was. We were in the room 10 minutes and let the kids play on the floor. Since my 11mth. old doesn't walk, he crawled around. My family and I were there this past weekend. We had a blast, 4th of july was great. The staff were outstanding, we had a few issues, mainly due to the noise of the people there, but it was great!! This hotel, or atleast the condo we rented was, to say the least, horrific. The master bedroom was the size of a large bathroom stall. The "bunkbeds" were of sardine size and are clearly limited to small children under the age of 5. The fold out couch bed was laughable. My family has been coming here for the longest time this is the only hotel we stay at when we go down there we never had any problems exsept for when little kids thought they were trying to be cool they were loud and did not respect people around them but this is the best place you would ever go
