I disliked the $20/overnight parking fee! Nice hotel, but nice enough to justify the parking fee. If you bring a car this is not a good choice! Houston is a very nice city, but NYC parking fees just cannot be justified here.

That staff was wonderful. If you enjoy French cuisine you'll like the restaurant & room service (a bit pricey) otherwise your best bet is to try one of the restaurants near the hotel or take the hotel's shuttle to the Galleria and eat there. The room was great, I slept so soundly I didn't hear the thunderstorm that passed through!

Hotel Derek is a great place to stay. It is very close to the Galleria and Highland Village and just off 610.

The staff was so helpfull and very friendly - we are already planning our next trip!

this is the best service and best value for the money in houston. the entire staff was above and beyond great. they met our ever need and always with a smile. i would stay here in a minute at their rates. the room service menu was alittle limited but the food was excellent. and the king beds are king kong. they were wondeerful.
