Another Valentine's Stay

My Wife and I stayed here for Valentine's 2005 and enjoyed our stay (even with three kids). The rooms are done in a contemporary style that we had not seen before in our minimal travels. The room had many small details that were nice and we hope to stay here again sometime.

Hotel Derek In the Houston Galleria

We had a Valentine's Getaway in 2004 and chose to stay at the Derek. The rooms were clean, contemporary and had cozy warm feeling. The staff assisted my husband in getting the room decorated, prior to us arriving, with 25 tulips and to be placed in a seperate bud vase. He of course, purchased the flowers and vases. San Francisco/New York chic in oil country

Hotel Derek is a bit of an anomaly. Outside the chain hotels, in Texas you generally find hotels that fit the image that most expect -- dark wood paneling, lots of cow leather, and longhorn steer skulls. Hotel Derek is different.
