Unfriendly StaffThe rooms were average for the price, but the service in the front desk needs attention. Front desk personnel did not greet, smile nor show any type of friendliness towards my family. Good Location and ValueThe rooms were clean and the service friendly and excellent. The Denny's next to the parking lot is a plus and the staff there is very friendly. While there is no internet access provided at the hotel, there is a public library about 8 blocks away with plenty of computers. WILL NEVER GO BACKITS THE HAMPTON NOW, AND THE PEOPLE WHO WERE ABOVE ME YOU COULD HEAR WALKING ALL NITE. THEY FORGOT TOOTHPASTE AND THERE POLICY IS IF THEY FORGET YOU NEED TO GO TO FRONT AND GET IT. IT WAS A CARSHOW WEEKEND AND THE CARS WERE BLAIRING IN FRONT OF MY WINDOW. A GUY WAS DRINKING AND BAR-B-QUE ING IN PARKING LOT AND ALMOST TOSSED HIS BEER ON ME. ...Was this review helpful? Nice MotelThe rooms of this motel are very clean. The staff was very nice. We missed breakfast hours, but they still offerd us everything they had (execpt of fresh waffles, of course). The outside appearance was not to thrilly. But the room was perfect, as I said. We would recomment this motel for a one or two nights stay.Was this review helpful? Knowledgable Staff and Great RoomsHave stayed at this location several times. I wish other hotels had clean rooms and great front desk people like this hotel. Always greeted with a smile. Same Quality?The first time I walked in this hotelroom, I wanted to turn around and sleep in the car. We had to stay there for two nights, and lets just say they could have been better. I stayed at the La Quinta Inn at Galveston and it was nothing compared to this. I was not pleased at all with this hotel.
