  • Ashamed to live in the same city
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/02/09
Went for the sunday "brunch" with a dear friend from out of town. Outside the Capprecio grill is the menu which stated "Sunday breakfast $13.95 with made to order omelet $15.95. We were seated - the waiter brought our drinks and plates. Off we went and enjoyed a pretty good brunch. Until the bill came - ours was $75.00 for 2 ...

  • A beautiful hotel, but...
    By Fred, 06/26/09
My wife and I stayed at the Peabody for 2 nights in June while visiting Memphis. The hotel is gorgeous...first class all the way.
However at check out, the shine came off. Apparently, the girl who checked us in, neglected to do her job. As a result, we were taken by surprise to find a $9.95 per night "service fee" added to our ...

  • Not worth the Money
    By Corey, 06/25/09
We did the Touch of Romance Package for our 10th Wedding Anniversary. We checked in fine, had a great dinner at Chez Phillipe and then retired to our room. We were woken up at 11pm or so to a crying baby in the room next door. We called the front desk telling them what was going on and letting them know we might want to switch rooms. We fell ...

  • wonderful stay at the Peabody Memphis
    By First L, 01/29/09
Traveled to Memphis on business and stayed at the Peabody for four nights. We had a room with double beds. The room was clean and although the bathroom was small, there was enough room (if you didn't have lots of cosmetics). My friend had a queen room and she had no counter space whatsoever. The room was very clean, the beds comfortable and the ...

  • Southern Hospitality at its finest
    By LauraR, 07/07/08
My family and myself stayed at the Peabody from July 3, 2008 through July 6, 2008. This was our first trip to Memphis. After staying at the Peabody, I can't imagine ever staying anywhere else if I return to Memphis. What a beautiful historic hotel! The staff were wonderful and went out of their way to insure that our stay was perfect. ...

  • Lobby Area
    By Christine, 01/01/08
We would have liked to stay at the Peabody for the Liberty Bowl game but it was MSU team and fans. I am sure we could have stayed there but it just didn't seem right.

Still we really enjoyed the lobby and stores. We sat there taking in the wonderful piano background music drinking Johnny Walker Black.

Great hotel. Next time let the Knights stay there.

  • southern at its finest
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/01/07
Memphis is definitely deep south. The Peabody is a reflection of that. From the moment you arrive you're greeted with the hospitality of the south. As soon as the staff hears your name, they will always refer to you by your Sir name from then on out. They do not forget.

Check-in is swift. Rooms are ready by 4:00, so if you arrive ...

  • They are very rude
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/12/07
I had reservations to be in Memphis Nov 6-12, 2007. I was making payments on my room and on the next to the last payment that was made, I called the hotel to verify the last payment and last payment date. I was given the information and advised them that would be fine to take the payment on that date. Well, they did not take the payment (which ...

  • Expensive But Great
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/16/07
If you would like to live the lifestyle of the Rich & famous then this hotel is just right for you. Rooms per night cost a minimum of $350 per night, but downtown Memphis is right outside your window.
