It was a lot of fun to see the "ducks" and the view from the top of the building is awesome. It reminded me of the the John Grishm book THE FIRM. Easy access to walk around and eat and the carriage rides are great. Shopping in the Peabody is full of interesting things.

Away from the grind !
By chasm19me, 10/01/05
There I was, exhusted from air travel, meetings having been completed--an arduous day to say the least. Having heard about the Peabody,I merely anticipated a quiet place to rest and perhaps recuperate. Was I suprized!. It was late afternoon, and there were the ducks heading for the elevator. One must see this event to really appreciate what ...

Love the Ducks
By emtfromkansas, 09/29/05
This hotel is right downtown. Near Beale Street and the Rendesvous. This is where the good food and great music live.
The ducks are fun to watch marching to the fountain.
Special experience!

Really nice hotel for Memphis visitors
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/26/05
The Ducks! What more can I say?! Oh, and the bar is really nice with friendly people all around. It was kinda hard to actually see the marching of the ducks because the tourists all crowd in, so I was bummed because it was probably the only time I'd get to stay at this hotel, but it's really, really nice and the ducks are a fun touch. ...

ducks rule!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/26/05
I loved watching the Peabody Ducks go up the elevator and onto the roof for a swim. It was just like the book I read when I was a little kid. The bellman opens the door as if the ducks are royalty and off they go! The design of the grand building and the location to downtown baseball and music on famous Beale Street make this a stop to remember! Enjoy!

Peabody is pleasurable
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/26/05
I love the Peabody for its location, service, and the things to do in and around it. If your looking for a fun place in Memphis, look no further than the Peabody. Its the place you want to stay at in Elvis' city. So next time your in Memphis, give the Peabody a chance to win you over like it has me and 1,000 of others. Before you know it, it could be your home away from home.

Total luxury!!! A joy.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/26/05
It was a delightful experience. The luxury of today in the atmosphere of yesterday. The location provided wonderful choices for shopping, dining, and site seeing. The Peabody offered the luxury of a large town with the friendliness of a small community. Our visit was an entirely positve one and one that will be enjoyed again in the future.
