After a long day, I just shut the door in the bathroom of my room and the door jammed locked behind me. (I did not even lock it). Rooms are LOW quality. Luckily my friend was there to call maintenance. Still took 45 minutes to get me out. Has my friend not been there, I would have been stuck untill next morning in the bathroom until the cleaning ...
I would like to start off sayin that I am a marriott employee and I am deeply ashamed on how poorly I was treated. I made reservations for my step sister and I to go to Memphis for Memphis in May atleast 3weeks prior at this hotel. We were told that all she needed was the friends and family rate was a form and that regardless to the fact that I ...

Our stay in February at the Marriott was the greatest. The service was excellent and everyone was so nice. Our room did not get cleaned one day, therefore the hotel sent breakfast to our room the next morning free. The view of the river, Memphis bridge, Pyramid and the sunset is so beautiful. We had trouble getting out of bed in the mornings, we ...

Where should I begin? I was told that check in was at noon, yet when we arrived, I was told that no room would be available until 4 pm!!!
When I reserved the room I was told there wouldl be a flat screen TV, yet there was not.The room was an average size with nothing to make it stand out. Example: There was no jucuzzi bathtub and no flatcreen ...
The front desk check in is always slow but the lobby is wonderful. I love that all the bedding is down...making everything extra soft! The bathrooms are pretty spacious and if you can try to get a room facing the river because the Mississippi River Bridge, the Pyramid and sunsets are pretty in the evening!
The Mariott Hotel is one of my favorite hotels. If your use to "motel" rooms, and you wanna upgrade; please choose the Mariott. You will not regret it.

Won't stay at Marriott again!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/30/07
We were very disapponted in the Marriott Memphis downtown!!! The 1st night there, we received a call at 1:40 A.M. saying that my husband's truck had been broken into. He went downstairs to meet with the Police. The back window had been shattered, the leather seats had been scratched from the vandal crawling in through the shattered glass. We ...

Wonderful Trip, Great Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/12/06
This stay was one of my better stays at a hotel in Memphis. The location is excellent. The bed was ultimately comfortable. The room was nice and clean and I liked the view from the 10th floor. The only thing that the hotel lacks is a concierge. You just have to be your own concierge. But I truly enjoyed the hotel. Yes, I will be back!!!
The downtown Marriot was great! I flew in for the Beale Street Music Festival and was pleasantly surprised with the hotel. Many musical acts were staying there so there was some great people watching! The hotel is right on the Main Street trolley route so it is very easy to walk downtown Memphis.
