The Marriot was sold out so I figured the Hilton would be comparable--wrong! At just over $200/night it was quite a disappointment. Lobby tacky, entire interior in dire need of updating and renovation, room had a bad smell, overall cleanliness just average. The only saving grace is yes it's on the beach. And to top off not liking the hotel, on ...

Very Nice w/ a lot of BUTS
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/06/07
Great loc./ocean front. Has been remodeled, but is old. GREAT pillow-top beds & nicely appointed rooms, but very small. A/C bearly adequate. Only one can fit in bathroom at a time. Horrible water pressure/shower. Rediculous coffee maker won't accept universal filters, so you can't brew your own = ok for those who only drink 1 cup a day. ...

Relaxing Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/28/06
We stayed at the Hilton in Aug. 2006 and really enjoyed it.It's a good hotel for a family. The oceanfront pools were wonderful, and our children enjoyed the kiddie waterpark at the neighboring sister property. The staff was very nice and helpful. Our only complaint was with the restaurant - Cafe Amalfi. The hostess was often not at the ...

The BEST place on the beach!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/11/06
This is the best place to stay in Myrtle Beach! My family and i have been going for years but this year we discovered it had a new addition! It has the first sand botton pool in SC. It felt so good on the bottom of my feet after the long drive. Also, the cold mango scented towels handed out by the pool were fantastic! The pool staff was ...

"GREAT POOL BAR STAFF
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/14/06
The Hotel was ok, the inside meal would have been ruined if not for the great waiter. The best part of the entire trip was the pool bar. The staff was better than good. Kristen and Lana are the best on the beach, hands down. You have got to try a dirty bananna. WOW
I have spent many vacations at The Hilton - dating way back to the early 1980's. I have seen it emerge from what would be an upscale hotel on the ocean to what I would now consider an exquisite upscale hotel on the beach! I have seen the remodeling phase unfold before my eyes to reveal a new inner building just like a coccoon evolves into a ...

treated like royality
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/16/05
there aren't enough nice words to describe the hilton at myrtle beach. from the bell man that met us at the front door, to the conceirge at the pool, and anyone else that we came into contact with, we were treated like we were the only guest here. in fact, we ran out of diapers early am the day ophelia hit, not only did they handle our need, ...
-Right by the ocean. Very convenient and scenic. -Great amenities: nice workout room, pool, etc.
Disliked:
-High Speed internet would NOT work; my internet works fine at other hotels, but not this one. -Housekeeping comes much earlier than most hotels. -Hot water was not that hot; more like lukewarm.
My friend and I just got back from Myrtle Beach (May 31, 2005) and we had a blast. The Hilton hotel is right by the beach and the room was lovely! It was actually $190/night but we got a good deal from a friend and only paid $100 for 2 days/3 nights! I love Hilton because they have a groovy band playing by the pool every afternoon while you sunbathe!
