Didn't seem like a Hilton!The Marriot was sold out so I figured the Hilton would be comparable--wrong! At just over $200/night it was quite a disappointment. Lobby tacky, entire interior in dire need of updating and renovation, room had a bad smell, overall cleanliness just average. The only saving grace is yes it's on the beach. Very Nice w/ a lot of BUTSGreat loc./ocean front. Has been remodeled, but is old. GREAT pillow-top beds & nicely appointed rooms, but very small. A/C bearly adequate. Only one can fit in bathroom at a time. Horrible water pressure/shower. Relaxing StayWe stayed at the Hilton in Aug. 2006 and really enjoyed it.It's a good hotel for a family. The oceanfront pools were wonderful, and our children enjoyed the kiddie waterpark at the neighboring sister property. The staff was very nice and helpful. The BEST place on the beach!!!!This is the best place to stay in Myrtle Beach! My family and i have been going for years but this year we discovered it had a new addition! It has the first sand botton pool in SC. It felt so good on the bottom of my feet after the long drive. Also, the cold mango scented towels handed out by the pool were fantastic! "GREAT POOL BAR STAFFThe Hotel was ok, the inside meal would have been ruined if not for the great waiter. The best part of the entire trip was the pool bar. The staff was better than good. Not the best hotel....Liked:
-Right by the ocean. Very convenient and scenic.
-Great amenities: nice workout room, pool, etc.
Disliked:
-High Speed internet would NOT work; my internet works fine at other hotels, but not this one.
-Housekeeping comes much earlier than most hotels.

Best place to beMy friend and I just got back from Myrtle Beach (May 31, 2005) and we had a blast. The Hilton hotel is right by the beach and the room was lovely! It was actually $190/night but we got a good deal from a friend and only paid $100 for 2 days/3 nights!
