My spouse and I had planned a weekend getaway (Thursday-Sunday) to Charleston Place Hotel. Upon arriving on Thursday night we were told that they showed no reservations for our arrival. Once we gave our confirmation number we were able to check in but into an incorrect room. We were later told that no rooms are guaranteed for the type of room you ...

The hotel itself is very grand and beautiful. The room was very normal/average/standard. Absolutely nothing to make it worth the cost of over $300 a night!! We spent less and were much happier going back to one of the historic inns, which actually had some character and better amenities. Would not ever stay here again unless it was free.

I Loved it!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/24/09
We went there one summer and absolotly loved!:)) Everything there was amazing!!
We stayed at this hotel because there were literally no other rooms available in Charleston. I was leary of paying $300.00 a night, but this place was worth every penny! Everything was exquisite. The indoor salt water pool was a huge hit with my daughter. I can not wait to visit again!
Beautiful hotel. The club level is a MUST. Beautiful spreads of food were offered nearly all day long. They had complementary wine and fruit waiting for us in our room. Beautiful hotel, especially the lobby. Rooms were nice and spacious, unlike many hotels in Charleston. Location was perfect! Right across from the market and many wonderful restaurants. The concierge was very helpful and accomodating. Just an overall lovely experience!

The food was good and some of it excellent but suffered from the fact that the chef ...

Awesome Trip/Experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/05/06
My husband and I spent two nights/ three days at Charleston Place and I can not say enough good things about it. The room was gorgeous, the food was extravagant AND delicious, the people were extremely friendly and we felt like we were the most special people there. It is a bit pricy but well worth the extra expense in our opinion. We are coming ...
I liked everything about this hotel, the beds were comfy and the rooms were big. I liked the free coffee and muffins on the 4th floor. The service was great, I am staying there next week and very excited about my stay.
