The grounds and the pool were both beautiful. Easy access to the beach, but the rooms were totally average. Kind of small and there were holes in the walls. A light bulb was out in the bathroom and was not replaced the whole time we were there. Will try another place next year.

The hotel itself is one of the most expensive hotels in the area. The staff was very helpful. We had turn down service each night. I was unhappy with the view, it over looked the gazebo. Talk about Southern hospitality. We spent our anniversary at the wonderful Westin Hilton Head Island resort. They upraded us to the Augusta Suite and we were completely pampered.
We especially enjoyed the heavenly bed (boy, is it comfortable!) and the spacious accomodations that included three bathrooms and three balconies.
