We spent the Thanksgiving holiday weekend at the Inn, arriving around noon on Thanksgiving day. Amanda at the front desk greeted us and made us feel very welcome. We asked about getting a sandwich and were told that the Thanksgiving dinner buffet was in progress. The Food and Beverage Manager overheard our request and said "No problem". ...
I liked the fact that this was a very clean hotel and the staff was friendly and helpful. The pool was clean but small. Beach access was great. I disliked the noise level of the air conditioner and dehumidifier in the room, which made it hard to sleep.
I, my Husband, and 2 year old son stayed from May 19-26. We had an absolute wonderful time. I loved the location! We've typically always stayed at Pawley's Island which is wonderful and very family oriented as well but if you want to go and see the attractions at Myrtle..it's a bit of a drive. This place was just far enough away from ...
This was our second trip to Myrtle Beach, first time at the Holiday Inn Surfside. We loved it. The front desk staff were very pleasant and helpful. We had a beautiful room with an ocean/pool view. We ordered room service once for breakfast. Good food, a tad bit expensive but not completely unreasonable. The access to the beach and pool was ...

Never Again!!

The Chef does not wash his hands. The "fine dining waitstaff" looked like the 4 A.M. shift from the Memphis Waffle House. The smell in the hotel could make you fall over.

A really nifty place to spend a long weekend

Our military unit, the 5th RCT Association, holds its mini reunion at the Surfside Holiday every year. Unlike many of the other commercial inns, our group is made to feel welcome there. I can strongly recommend this lovely hotel to any similar group: after all, you get to fly your unit's flag from the HI flagpole. The staff is friendly and goes out of its way to help. No illegal immigrants seen in the past 10 years or so. God bless America !

Will Not Stay Here Again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/30/07
This was a TERRIBLE value for the money we spent. We requested adjoining rooms far in advance, and when we got there were told none were available, and they would not move us the next day as other rooms were vacated, so our group got separated. The "full service" restaurant was closed for lunch, and barely operative for dinner-you got ...

My husband and I decided to take a last minute vacation to the beaches in South Carolina. Neither of us had ever been to South Carolina so we decided to drive until we found what we liked .... around midnight on our first night of vacation we found FollyBeach but quickly left after being charged %$172.00 for a TINY room (with NO VIEW of ...

Great Place To Stay!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/06/07
I stayed at Holiday Inn @ Surfside in June 2006. ROOM: The room I stayed in was very clean! The floors, shower, and bed sheets were very clean and nice. The room was decorated very pretty and the walls look nice. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom looked brand new! There is nothing worse than a nasty bathroom, right? So no worries ...
