We've taken our kids to Edisto (Wyndam) for three years now. We had a great condo in the Villiages which is outside of the main resort. Nice pool in our backyard but it was overcrowded b/c the main pool was broken for at least 3 days we were there. We had a phone call each day from the concierge who tried to cajole us into coming to one of ...

Edisto Island is wonderful if you love a quiet place to go to the beach. The Wyndam was great. Very clean and the service was excellent. We did not see one bug the entire time. We were in Marsh Pointe, right by the sound which was across the street. The beach was just a few blocks down and we rode our bikes to everything. Our kids played ...

Very relaxing; no traffic, crowd, noise
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/24/08
My husband and I have been in this resort at least 4 times and stayed at the villages in 2 bedroom units; the last time was in a 1 bedroom unit. The only thing I did not like about the 1 bedroom unit is the couch is old and damaged, I wonder how often they inspect those units. There was also cobwebs surrounding the outside lights. We attended one ...

Edisto is a very relaxing place to visit. I have been to Wyndham Ocean Ridge 4 times over the past 7 years and have another trip planned there for this year.
PROS: Relaxation at it's finest. The pace at edisto is about that of the Sea Turtles that nest there. There are no crowds, no lines, no noise, no stress. The scenery is beautiful ...
I loved the Island and the layed back atmosphere I would wake about 6:30am and I could see the dolphins from my window. Our two bedroom unit was in the Bay Point area. Close to the beach for morning and evening walks. Best place I have ever vacationed and will be back.
If you are looking for a place to relax. Ocean Ridge Resort in Edisto Island is the place to be. It is quiet and nestled right on the beach. The location was great. Beautiful views from your patio or balcony. The unit was very spacious and clean. I was very pleased with the service, however, I was a litle disappointed on the distance from the ...
This was our first time to visit Edisto Island and we loved it. We had our 5 year old grandon with us and we had the time of our lives! We were stayed in the Villages and it was wonderful. Clean, spacious, and a well thought out floor plan that made our 5 day visit wonderful. Our unit overlooked one of the pools and was a perfect place to set ...

Loved the quiet, lazy feeling that I got when I was at Fairfield Ocean Ridge. Our two bedroom condo was in a good location near the bay. We walked the beach and found lots of wonderful shells--have never found anywhere else. Loved it!
If you want a place to get away from all the hustle and bustle of everyday life, Edisto Island is the place to be. Located along the east coast between Charleston, SC and Hilton Head Island, it's one of the last remaining coastal retreats that give you a sense of your own private beach. If you're looking for a place to relax and rejuvenate ...
I stayed in the Fairfield area last year. It was awesome, I had so much fun there. The place i stayed in was very nice and real close to the beach. I would recommend Fairfield to anyone, It's a wonderful place to bring your family or just a loved one!
