Not worth any of your hard earned money!!My husband and I went away Labor Day weekend to this hotel for our anniversary. When we arrived our room was dirty, the telephone did not work or the toilet. We had to park at the back of the building and there was no lighting and the road was horrible.

This place was crapThis place looks nice on the website, but even before I walked through the front doors I knew that something was off about this place... The front entranceway is covered in moldy green carpet and tacky decor and probably hasn't been redecorated since the 70's... Our room smelled and so did the hallways like cigarettes and mold. Wanted to stay longerWe stayed at Newport Inn on 8/1/08. We arrived early afternoon. The check-in took a couple of minutes and then we were given our keycard to our room, #202. It was a fantastic room with a jacuzzi and king bed. The room was very clean, no odors at all and very spacious. We checked out the pool area, which was nice. Way better than expected from previous reviewsAfter reading the prior reviews I was very worried about our stay. We had previously booked the stay for a wedding. I found the complete opposite. Good Value in NewPortrecently I received a free voucher to the hotel from a company that I work with. When I checked in I was upgraded for free, the room was clean except for a stained chair and the whirlpool was great. except for the caulking around the tub that was missing.

very nice! luxury hotelI went to see my sister that stayed here and was very surprized at how nice it was after I read some of the old reviews. It had tempurpedic mattresses like I have at home. I didn't want to get out of the massage chair in the room . it was like those $4000.00 massage chairs at those Brookstones stores in the Malls. It had a jacuzzi in the room and plush amenities!
