All of the hotel restaurants were way overpriced. For a Philly Cheesesteak and French Fries..$18.00. Normal breakfast - $22.00. There are a lot of places nearby but it is inconvenient to not be able to use the in-house restaurants. The hotel is quite busy and very loud at night. I closed both my outer door and inner door and could still hear ...

Pros and Cons

We had a conference here in late May. On the plus side, nice decorared rooms, very nice staff, good food. On the negative, paper thin walls, hard as a rock mattress, no TV or radio in exercise room so that you have to stare at blank walls, no papers or sundry shop in hotel.

Would absolutely stay here again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/04/07
The room was newly remodeled..wonderfrul bed with many pillows..very comfortable..maybe a little dust perhaps from the remodeling that was going on. Concierge service was absolutely top notch..even getting boarding passes printed out for us. Location was wonderful..with in walking distance to everything. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

THOROUGHLY ENJOYED MY STAY AT SHERATON. EVERYONE FROM OUTSIDE PERSONNEL TO REGISTRARS, TO WAITERS, TO HOUSEKEEPING, TO SERVERS WERE "WONDERFUL", TREATED YOU WITH THE RESPECT A GUEST DESERVES TO BE TREATED WITH. THE HOSPITALITY LADIES WERE SO KIND. SHOULD I EVER GET BACK TO PHILADELPHIA, I DEFINITELY WILL STAY AT ONE DOCK STREET AND WILL ENCOURAGE OTHERS COMING TO PHILADELPHIA TO GIVE YOU A TRY. THANK YOU.

Just what I wanted
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/24/07
I went to Philly to see King Tut and used this Hotel. The room was perfect and the bed was most comfy. The concierge was very helpful on where to eat and directions. The front desk let me borrow an umbrella because of a suddent storm. I asked for a 4pm checkout and was told "No Problem." We could see Penn's Landing from our room and ...

Treats internet bookings like 2nd class citizens!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/21/07
I am surprised this hotel has not been disowned by Sheraton. I have stayed at many of their hotels and have never had a complaint until now.
From the moment we checked in until we left (3 night stay) they denied us everything we asked for, stating, "Because you booked your room on the internet..."
For example, we ordered Chinese ...

Friendly staff
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/19/07
We were greeted by a friendly staff and continued to be impressed with everyone we came in contact with. The location is perfect for walking in Philadelphia. Parking attendants were great, you can take your car out as many times as you like. The parking rates were reasonable. The indoor pool was a lifesaver since the weather was cool and rainy. I would choose this hotel again.

Terrible!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/17/07
Appallingly bad room. Dirty and opposite a building site which started about 7am. Wallpaper peeling and very noisy. Not the greatest experience.
On the positive side - the lobby staff were very friendly.
Very little else to say. Avoid!

The worst experience ever!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/20/07
Everything about this hotel is a disaster! The room is smelly and terrible. You even see water leak mark on the ceiling. There’s no fan in the bathroom, so the moment you walk in, the room itself is really smelly. For some reason, the bathroom is always wet on the floor. I don’t want to know why. I am sure I did get a maid service??? Dust on the ...

Perfect Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/04/07
We have been to the Sheraton twice and had a wonderful time both visits. I am surprised at the negative reviews because we found the hotel efficient and uncrowded, the staff freindly and the restaurant and pool terrific. My daughter loved it and we are going back this summer. It is small and friendly, yet you can walk to the historic district and, in the summer, take a nearby ferry to the aquarium and Camden waterfront.
