Very sad weekend experience...real shabby....all staff are in rehab or should be and I believe are all first cousins (real skinny family tree) Left before checkout and ate at diner near the thruway to avoid eating in their dining room....once again it was very ,very rundown and disappointing! would never go back.

Bates Motel?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/04/08
The Friar Tuck Resort and Spa looked as if it was a nice place to visit back in the early 70s but now its just run down and overpriced. The room smelled, their elevator was frighting and the place is being run by kids that don't really care.
I stayed the Friar Tuck with a large group and I thought that I would make the best of it but for ...

Stay in your Car
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/01/08

It looks like they went to the "Dollar" store to decorate. We demanded our money back, and they literaly threw half of our money back at us and told us that was all we were ...

Never hold a convention Here!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/08/08
We recently visited the Friar tuck for a 2 day TOPS convention, I am not sure the exact number of people in attendance but it was in the hundreds. The rooms were clean, though the water was sporadic, shower and air conditioner did NOT work, food was ok, service and staff could not speak english and were very rude. There is nothing around and not ...
Beware..dirty and little to do, in or out of your room. The pool dirty and whirlpool broken. The food was awful! Lots of salt to cover the taste, precooked and then warmed to serve. You would be better to stay at home and save your pennies for a REAL VACATION.
To begin with, we were asked to do an inventory. Not only have we never been asked to do such a thing, but we couldn't believe they'd care. Furnishings were shabby - place looked like it had been decorated with the discounted stuff from the dollar store. Pool was dirty, hot tub was broken part of the time - and both were falling apart. ...

Creepy
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/17/08
My husband and I went there for a weekend getaway about 5 years ago and it was old, big and creepy. It reminded me of the hotel from the shining. It was very 1970's.
