The Best Part of My New York ExperienceThe room was well appointed, the bathroom a wee bit small. We were really scheptical about the size of the room we would be given but were pleasantly surprised. The Whiskey Bar seemed a hopping place to be , and also the lounge but due to the short stay we had we never checked these out. Filthy, smelly, dusty horrible place - don't stay thereMy main problem with W Lexington Ave is that I could not get full rest and I could not sleep well in their rooms for a number of reasons.

I'd never go back again!I stayed at W New York for the past two weeks while on business trip. Since I had a wonderful experience at W Chicago, I booked with W NY. BAD decision! Where do I even start?
- Rooms are small and very dark, which makes one feel depressed upon entering.
- My first room stunk like old towels--a smell that seemed impossible to get rid of.

Smaller than my college dorm roomLike other reviewers, I agree with the rooms being tiny. I had to use the desk to set my suitcase on. The foot of the bed was a mere 2 ft. away from the wall. The bathrooms were very small as well, and I could hear everything going on outside. I would have had the fan blowing, but it too was very loud.

love it!!!Love it!!! Great mood and atmosphere, stylish rooms not big but cosy, "famously comfortable beds", a very colourful, trendy lobby, good looking people, friendly staff, great location...excellent to stay if you are here for business or for fun. I had a great time.

great lobby!!!Yess, rooms are small but with an extra extra comfortable bed that u never want to leave:) I loved the lobby. Its very modern and the ambiance is very good. And the staff! They were so friendly.

Wishing I did not stay hereThe premise of this hotel is that they will get you what you wish. I wished for the room I had booked, the 350 sq foot mega room, only to be moved to 4 different rooms none of which was larger than 170 sq feet. Best Hotel in NYCI absolutely loved the W hotel. When we arrived the computer system was down but they immediately gave us complimentary drinks and appetizers. The wet bar is a fabulous area to meet new people and sip on some drinks. I wish I looked at the reviews before booking.I travel a lot on biz, and am a SPG gold member, so I have come to pretty much expect any Sheraton or above property to be pretty much a safe bet for staying at. Man was I wrong about the W - New York. To sum it up, there are lots of other places to stay in Manhattan, choose one!
