When we arrived at the hotel it took the clerk almost 10 minutes to open the door. We began to ask him the price of a room which is more expensive than it says on here. 65.00 to be exact. The meeting turned when i asked him what the rooms were like. He actually rolled his eyes told us he didn't have any rooms and told us to leave. We left and ...
I was looking for a room and checked this place out. I'm glad they let me see the room first. The smell in the two rooms I looked at was bad and the furniture was falling apart in the rooms. Not good rooms and overpriced.

I think this place isn't worth the money. The lobby had an unpleasant odor as well as the room we stayed in. The staff was very rude. We were charged double for two nights. I left to Artesia the next day and came back to find that the cleaning staff had gone through my things. I know this because I did leave them a certain way and you can tell ...

No a/c in the front lobby, poor overall cleanliness of the entire facility and most importantly the room was a mess, not cleaned trash left in the room and beds not made. Perception is relity and reality is-this property should be investigated! Requested credit and went elswhere.
As we drove up we noticed the over grown landscaping and the much needed coat of paint. We walked in to the office as another guest was complaining about the cleanliness of two rooms in which he was placed. The office greets you with a stench. Lamps were missing thier shades. As we walked into our room we were agian greated by a nose crinckling ...

Parking lot was messy and manager was burning incense in lobby.
Our group had to wake manager up at 7:05am for 7:00 Continental Breakfast.
Needless to say, we went down the street to McDonalds to eat.

NOT a Holiday Inn; Online reservations a mess
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/28/06
We linked to the website and submitted a reservation (incl credit card info) that then disappeared into thin cyberspace. We tried calling the local number listed on the google local search and got a fax machine. When we called Holiday Inn, they told us "There is no longer a Holiday Inn in Carlsbad. It closed about a year ago." When we ...

Not a 2 much less 3 star facility!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/06/06
This place is overpriced for the quality of the rooms and the service provided. a. I had a suite, dismal! The room had no Mircoware until I asked for it. b. The electronic key expired daily it took 3 days of a 5 day visit to get resolved. They didn't bother to tell me that I had to check back in each night to get a new days key. c. The carpet ...
