Old and dingy. It may not be dirty but it feels like it is. It's simply not up to Hilton's typical standards and needs renovation.

I travelled to NJ from the Bahamas I spent one week in August 2005 I find the staff to be pleasant and helpful. The hotel itself was well kept the resturant was very nice and the location is perfect I recomend this hotel highly to anyone travelling to NJ on vacation

A hotel room with easy access to Manhattan that cost under $200 is going to have its compromises, and this one has plenty.

The rooms arn't foul but they are minimally clean. The shower is spacious but leaks out onto the floor and even into the entry-way if you arn't careful.

I stayed in the Gateway 20 years ago. It doesn't look like any capital improvement money was spent since then.

The food and service in the restaurants was good. But no one was in them.

Beds were soft and mushy. The room was narrow. It smelled. Someone left a brown eye on the toilet seat. Need I say more?

It was a hassle trying to get in and out of your parking. Otherwise then that my stay was average.

The rooms were very spacious with large beds--California King. Because it's close to transportation and many other things,Great food and bar, it makes this hotel a must!
