Our family (including 8 year old and 4 year old) visited President's Day weekend, and the lodge was full - couples, families, a huge group of teenagers - and full of life and surprisingly plenty of space for everyone. The Nordic skiing is right at the front door, with downhill, ice-skating, and tubing nearby. Friendly staff and visitors. Unpretentious (not catering to spa seekers) clean, and cozy. A lovely place.
the people that work there are very friendly. offers a gift shop and tavern. there is a porch the encircles the hotel where people can smoke/drink. beautiful view; very peaceful. anyone that can get a chance of going there really should.

If you want to get away from it all go to Eagle Mountain House. The wrap around porch with rocking chairs that view the mountain are worth the price alone. The rooms are beautiful & clean. The cedar chest of drawers is a nice surprize. Breakfast was great but be sure to ask for your eggs loose with the Eggs Benadict. Service in the dining room ...

We had dinner at the Inn on Friday and ...
The location, ambiance, staff, value . . . it has it all. And being near one of our favorite places: N. Conway, NH with all it's discount stores, and the nearby skying area, it's to dream about every year in the fall. From a dedicated leef peeper in Florida

Classic New England
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/19/06
If you want an authentic historic New England hotel, the Eagle Mountain House should be at the top of your list.
The rooms are a bit dated; but, new wing back chairs with ottomans and even new art work has brought a breath of fresh air to this grande dame. The lobby has even seen some improvements but the antiques and historic memorbilia display ...
