El Cortez Hotel and Casino is very clean and very near to the downtown and right next to Las Vegas strip transportation.Bets were comfortable. if you need quietness in Vegas idle place to stay. On this price El Cortez very good choices . rooms very clean service very good.
When my husband and i stayed at El Cortez for our 16th anniversary (and to get re-married by Elvis), we had a fabulous time. The hotel was quaint and we got one perk after another. Slots were loose. We received a free dinner from the hotel to celebrate our anniversary. We would recommend this hotel to anyone who would like to see Vegas and spend money gambling, not pay for someone's electric bill.

I stayed here last May, and upon checkin, received a voucher for another two night stay free. It was only good for the summer, and I couldn't use it, but a good value and offer if you can get back to Vegas for a quick weekend. I enjoyed my tower room. Not huge, but nice comfy beds with an additional seating area. Small bathrooms.
Two years ago I needed a place to stay on a Family Trip & normally stay at the Four Queens I booked late, my only option was the El Cortez. I need to say this I had stayed at the 4Q since 1998, my biggest comp was buy one night get one free. One stay at the Cortez & I have never paid for a room since in 5 stays my typical comp is 2 or 3 ...
I liked the single deck blackjack but some locals were pushy about having me do the game-slowing sidebet. Room was large and clean. Comps were pretty generous. Food in cafe was very tasty. Dealers not good at English. Great valet with free parking. I felt safe at the location, a short walk from the Fremont Street Experience and other casinos. I may stay at El Cortez again

I loved the old world style. I stayed in a vintage room two years in a row and a suite one. I am coming back in December this year because this great old hotel is a good value, comfortable and exciting.

The best in Vegas

Don't tell me about the Bellagio. I've stayed there. The Luxor? Three times. New York New York? Getting tired. I've even stayed at other joints downtown. Forget 'em all. The El Cortez has 'em all beat, and let me tell you why. Who wants to dish out a few thousand clams to get trapped in a mega-resort where "class" ...

i like the food the drinks the lobby ofcorse i sleept like a baby in the hotel and it was so clean. the rooms are awsome and cool.
I can't believe some of the reviews that were not kind to this stately old spot. I have stayed there 3 times in the past year and each time found it a great value with kind employees, clean rooms, safe and history abundant! Now, of course it's not Caesars Palace, but at rates 1/4 the price take a cab if you wish. Close to Freemont Street Experience and the best casinos in Vegas. I love the El Cortez!
The room was great. The view of the mountains and Vegas from the 9th floor was very nice. The room was clean and a decent size with loveseat and coffee table. We did well on the machines but played it all back. The only complaint we have was the service of getting drinks. Getting waited on was terribly difficult. If you sat at one of the two bars, ...
