My teenage daughter and I are in St. Louis to visit colleges. Sheraton had the perfect location. Free transportation to / from airport and to / from Washington University. Great hotel -- everything was deluxe! Very clean! You need your room key to operate the elevator, for security reasons. We thought we had a great price, but forgot to ...
I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sheraton Clayton Plaza, St. Louis. The location is prime, a safe area with lots of restaurant options and ten minutes travel from the city's trendy west end district and forest park museums and zoos and five minutes from the galleria shopping mall. The staff went out of their way to be friendly and ...
Checked in at the Sheraton after a bad experience down the street at the Seven Gables Inn. It was a musty old hotel and the Sheraton was clean and fresh.
Great beds, firm mattresses, clean sunny room, all amenities. And a good value at $99. Liked the covered parking and they didn't charge us for it.
I will definately stay there again.

I normally don't post reviews, but after reading the last two negative reviews I felt a need to.
After confirming two queen beds, we showed up and discovered we had a single queen. They quickly fixed the situation. Staff was very nice and the room was clean. The pool was also nice, but the hottub was broken.
We had an great stay. No reason to worry.

Worst ever

We have stayed in hotels, hostels, inns etc. all over the world and this was one of the worst rooms we have ever had. The room was small, overlooked the indoor pool so it was humid and had no outside light. There was one straight chair at a small desk, no easy chair, no table, no refrigerator, no remote control. Warm bottled water on top of the TV ...
The room are not small. They are VERY small. Just my wife and I and we felt cramped. $10 to park in there garage is just excessive. It may have been remolded but it still looked old. I will not stay here again.
Upon arrival I left the family in the car out front and went to check-in. I waited in line (which including myself was 2 people) for about 15-30 seconds before the baggage handler noticed me and asked if I was wanting to check-in. Since he couldn't help me, he ran behind the desk looking for someone who could, and in less then 5 minutes I was ...

Nice. Bathroom could've been cleaned better. Someone else's hair was in the shower for the entire 2 days we were there! Otherwise was nice.

Stay away from this hotel!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/26/05
I do not travel for business, but over the past 35 years I have stayed in a numerous hotels and motels across the country and this one ranks among the biggest disappointments. Do not be fooled by the opulent lobby with the 3 bellhops. It would appear that these are left over vestiges of days gone by when the Clayton Plaza must have been a classy ...

The location was good. The service and amenities leave a lot to be desired. The bathrooms were old and totally run down. Everything seemed like it was in a lot of disrepair.
The facility itself is very old and everything was in quite a bit of a run down shape. The airconditioning did not work at all. It was HOT in the room and when we asked for ...
