We got suspicious standing on the street in the harbor and not being able to see the hotel!
Sure the room was clean and comfortable. But we reserved a "Lake View" king-size and paid more than a normal king. Definitely not a lake view unless you stand at the window and put your head against the glass and look around the obstructing ...
Our family is from Northern Mn about 3 hours from Duluth. We took a trip to Duluth for the weekend to bring our children to the zoo, aquarium, etc. After a long exhausting day we were all so excited to finally be on our way to the hotel to lay down and relax. What a disappoint, we got to our room (which was the kids room suite that we had reserved ...

That was such a good hotel!!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/05/08
That is a really good hotel to stay at if u have to get over to the Deck early in the morning.... like for competition for Figure Skating... that was so nice. We didn't have to get up super early and go into our cold cars... we could just walk over from our hotel in the sky walk. You get to walk over so many things it is really cool. I'm definitely going back this year to stay there for competition!!!!!

dont come here!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/01/06
i hated this dump. everyone was totally unprofessional and it was way to expensive. The lady at the counter keep talking in a fake british accent and it really started to bother me.
Great value for a good quality hotel. The staff here seems to go out of it's way when it comes to customer satisfaction. I'm a platinum member and I always receive the free upgrade WITHOUT asking. One note, even though It's not on Canal Park this is a nice place to stay. It's a long walk or short drive to Lake Superior.
We had a lot of fun at the Holiday Inn. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and got us a room right away even though we had no reservation and it was very busy. The room was very clean, well kept and had wireless internet which was a big perk. The Hotel has two swimming pools, an arcade, fitness center, and access to the skywalk system ...

Would stay there again but, check around first!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/10/06
At first we were given a different room than what we'd expected...( wanted to be by the pool.) However the staff happily arranged to correct the mistake! Whenever we called for something they had someone at our door in minutes! The kiddy pool was not as expected! It is connected to the skyway system which has a few shops and resturaunts. Their ...

In the heart of Duluth
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/10/04
The Holiday Inn is one of the original "new" hotels in downtown Duluth, and it's located in the center of the city. Connected to the skywalk system, it allows you to criss-cross your way through most of the buildings without stepping ouside. This is particularly useful during the cold and/or rainy months. The hotel offers standard ...
