We loved the location and the staff was fantastic. Room was nicely appointed and clean. Despite comments i read about the walls being paper thin, we didn't hear our neighbors either side or over us. We'll go back again. Price is a little high i think.
The Wequassett Inn may be one the the finest resorts in America. Not only is it beautiful, relaxing with a lot of activities, the service is second to none.
While it may be pricy, it is value for your dollar.
This year we vacationed at the Breakers in Palm Beach, the Pink Beach Club in Bermuda, the Phoencian in Scottsdale, Wequassett is still my favorite.

7th Summer : Best Yet!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/01/06
This was our seventh summer visiting the Wequassett - and year after year it continues to gets better - This year's addition/renovation of the entire pool area was fabulous to say the least - the new cabanas with piped in music was a wonderful way to spend the afternoons and the jacuzzi was an added treat. Service at the Inn continues to be ...

This is one of the worst 'luxury' hotels
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/29/06
The cottage rooms are noisy - not only due to thin walls but also noisy air conditioning units situated immendiately outside the windows. Not all cottage rooms have patios - in fact ours was SO dark that we had to keep the lights on in the day time. I got no sleep and had to leave one day early.
The service was unreliable - it took over 30 ...

Nice, but bad value for money
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/23/06
We stayed at Wequasset and lot of the experience was good - nice lodging, nice food, nice new pool area, nice launch to private beach.
But we book expensive hotels to get that bit extra .. and got that bit less! The lodges are noisy. The hotel is used by a lot of functions, so getting a table can be slow/impossible. Service at the restaurants is ...

Paper Thin Walls
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/30/05
The lovely cottages on the property have a huge problem- the walls are paper thin and the young families that populated this resort while we were there are very noisy because young children make a lot of noise. I didn't get much sleep in my $700 a night waterside cottage because of this.

I liked the boat that took you to the beach. The beach had no one at it. And the Restaurant was great!!! And they have a great tennis pro by the name of Dave.

only their mailing address is in Chatham!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/25/05
For those looking for a vacation in Chatham will be very disapointed with a stay at the Wequassett . Although its facilities and grounds are undoubtedly very nice, they have the real problem of not actually being located in the town of Chatham! Apparently they consider having a separate business address as sufficient to make up for their own ...
