I made reservations to stay here in September. I had to change my plans, so I canceled my reservations the day before I was to check in. A few days later a $70 charge by Travelodge appeared on my credit card. I called and spoke with the hotel staff, but they said they had no record of my cancellation. The manager refused to refund the money and he was very rude about it!
I know that budget motel won't be fancy, but I at the very least expect it to be clean.
The outside of the building was very shabby, with the paint peeling and carpeting coming up on the way to the room.
I could live with that too, but there were were cobwebs in the corners of our room and it appeared that the carpet hadn't been vaccumed before we arrived.

We had trouble with the telephone, the AC, the plumbing, and the TV. It was like a Marx Brothers movie. The people working there tried their best but they were very young and untrained. In the morning there was a line of people trying to get things fixed in their rooms or have their bills adjusted.
