this is a older hotel in the heart of new orleans french quaters. we stayed in room 221 and loved every minute of our stay. everyone was very nice and helpful. we stay in new orleans twice a month but never in this hotel. we will definatly be staying there again!!!

Ioved the victorian style rooms i stayed in the 2 floor villa with an awesome view and a balcony which was a steal got a free upgrade for being a travel agent and free parking with AAA card. the management is awesome

I have stayed at The Chateau several times and wish it could be more often. The first time I stayed there I was alone in New Orleans - my first trip - and they were all so helpful in giving advice on what to see and where to eat, etc. Everytime I've been back, my expectations are exceeded. This is a Great Place - with a feeling of a friendly bar or restaurant that always welcomes you back. Can't wait to go back...........

I made my reservations Thursday morning to arrive Friday night. Unfortunately, I was unable to actually get to the hotel until after 8pm. I was told there was only one room left. So the guy checked me in and the valet had us follow him to room 243......... outside on the street!!! this room was OUTSIDE the gate they closed and locked at night! ...

I stay at this place every time I visit New
Orleans which is at least every couple of years and find it charming and centrally located to the things i do when there.
I was there in 2006 with my new husband and he thought it was so nice and accomodating that he insisted on returning this year with some friends of ours that have never been to New orleans. Looking forward to the trip.

My wife and I have stayed at The Chateau Hotel on three occasions, and were quite happy with the accomodations. Staff was pleasant and helpful, and our rooms, all different, were clean and wonderfully appointed. We have been unable to visit since before Katrina, and have wondered if our favorite French Quarter hotel is as appealing and inviting as we found it to be.

The hotel was beautifull and the location was great. It's was only a couple of blocks from bourbon street and a few in the opposite direction to the river. We were super close to all the tours and I was super excited to find that we were two blocks from one very special building. The only thing I found to my disliking was the dangers of an outdoor pool. By this I mean the lizard we found at the bottem of it.
