We stayed in a one bedroom log cabin. It was rustic, but yet we found it clean. My only complaint was since there aren't many windows, they are somewhat dark, could use a little more lighting. However, they are very roomy for a one bedroom cabin. We found it very clean. The view from the dining room is beautiful. The food was good, but ...

Shared the cottage with mice & dirt.

The place is getting run down. It used to be clean. We found rodent droppings throughout the place, Finally on Sat. nite we saw the mice stuck to a "glueboard", Called the desk to no avail. They had no one on duty to take the mice. Sunday morning we woke up to the 1 dead & 1 dying mouse. Bathrooms had filth on the exhaust fan & ...
I recently stayed with family at Pine Mountain State Resort Park. We lodged in one of the cottages in the park, not at the lodge itself(which appeared nice).
The cottage itself was very nice in appearance. However, all was not quite as clean as it seemed.
One member of our party found peanuts in her bed when she retired for the night. A guard ...

We stayed in a 1 bedroom cottage in late January.Very friendly staff. Quiet and relaxing.Just enough modern convenience to be comfortable but yet still rustic. They supply wood for fireplaces. Great for familys or just the two of you. Planning on going back this summer.

maybe, maybe not
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/31/07
My wife and I have stayed at Pine Mountain State Park many times over the last 45 years. It is a beautiful place but it has deteriorated continuously thru the years. It needs a complete updating and restoration. Plumbing was bad the last two times we stayed there (sink stopped up). Maybe we'll be back, maybe not. Spend some money on this beautiful place Kentucky!!!!
We spent one night in a cabin and it was wonderful. We unfortunately didn't have time to enjoy some of the area attractions but certainly plan to come back for a longer stay. It was really nice. The authenticity of the cabin was certainly enjoyable. There was nothing missing as far as anything that would be needed. Look forward to another trip, hopefully sooner than later.
I stayed in a cabin for two nights in early August. When I first arrived at my cabin at the top of the hill I was pleased to see how secluded it was and that it was surrounded by woods. Although the cabin was old and there was some trash left in the yard it seemed fairly well maintained, but then I opened the door to go inside.
The first thing ...

Most beautiful place I've been to
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/17/05
This was such a wonderful experience for me. I was here with the man I love and it couldn't have been more perfect. The atmosphere, look, people and our beautiful room. I can't thank-you enough for the time I spent. I would go back every month if I could.
