The staff at this hotel is very nice and friendly, and the water park is fun for the kids, but when it comes to a good room...well it smelled funny and wasn't very clean or updated. It was overall OK.

Great Fun for my Family!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/04/08
This was our "vacation" for the summer. We are on a limited budget! The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. I have 3 kids age 3-8-13. The kids really enjoyed the water park. Sure it was small but there was plenty to do. My husband and I only got in the water the 1st time we went...it was just as enjoyable walking around ...

used to be nice

Been coming here for the past 30 years with my family. It always used to be a nice hotel and was kept updated. Not anymore! The rooms smell and need many updates!!!! The next trip out there we are going to stay somewhere else for the first time in 30 years! Have to pay for the waterpark even if you aren't going to use it. The rates jumped ...

Buy Day Pass
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/14/06
This was the first time we have visited this Holiday Inn. The waterpark was great, my family enjoyed it very much so. But the hotel itself is old and run down. The beds are very uncomfortable. The rooms are small and have a very bad smell to them(pets Allowed). My suggestion would be to buy a day pass and stay at one of the other hotels in the area.

A GREAT HOLIDAY INN
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/15/05
This is a wonderful Holiday Inn, with a restaurant serving family style. If you walk away hungry, it was your fault! The decore is old Amana, NOT AMISH, as another review states. The Amana Colonies contain no Amish settlers. The motel is easy to find right off exit 225 I-80 and close to more than just the Amana Colonies. The kids will love the waterpark and the adults will love the historical tours in the area.

Overpriced

The cost for this aging motel was very high $134.10 even with AAA or AARP discount. I can only assume that it was the last weekend of toursit season in the Amana Colonies.
If you have kids, the WaterPark is great, but if you want a decent room, go somewhere else. The toilet kept running after flushing and had to be hand re-set after each use. ...

Amish Country done right.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/28/05
The moment you walk into the lobby you can see how nicely decorated it is with amish materials. Walk past the enclosed pool area and see old amish buggy wheels and saws. The restaurant is nicely done in amish decor which the whole facility is the same. There are also small amana shops on the grounds that you can go through and browse. Don't miss the wine and cheese tasting.
