I didn't feel like my life was in danger, and it looked as if the room received cursory cleaning every day, but overall the joint is run down and the staff was unfriendly. The room was drafty and had a funny smell. The "Continental Breakfast" consisted of some brown bananas and some hot water into which Taster's Choice could be poured. The water was cloudy.
Spend the extra 15 bucks and stay at the Best Western or Super 8.
Although this motel is less expensive than others in the area and relatively clean, you have to beg for towels and/or coffee for the in-room coffee maker. We stayed 6 nights and the bed linens were changed the final night only because we left a large note on the pillow asking that they do so. The continental breakfast is "a joke" and ...

old and run down

My husband stayed at this hotel, as there was no availability anywhere else in the area. He stayed in the whirlpool suite, and said that the tub was nice, and there was a new bedspread. However, he said the carpet and furniture were worn to thread bare condition.
His traveling companion was also treated rudely by a man at the desk, who may have been the owner.
Needless to say, they will never stay there again.

I'd never go back

The room was ok. No complaints there! But the owner of this hotel is rude and doesn't know the first thing about customer satisfaction. He's a jerk! I will spend $200.00 a night for a room someplace else before I'd ever return to this place.

Good Reasonable to Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/31/06
If you are looking for a clean, reasonable place to stay, I would recommend it. All of the rooms have a mini-fridge and coffee maker. They offer a small continental breakfast. They don't have a pool, hot tub and lounge/restaurant, but we generally don't utilize these amenities. Quaint Motel style accommodations with minimal amenities. Whenever we stay in Cedar Falls, we stay there.

I needed a cheap place to stay for one evening and this place was the cheapest I could find. It did the job.

Nice Family Owned Inn
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/19/04
My wife and I stay here every time we come to town because we are sticklers for clean rooms and friendly service. The price is hard to beat. The rooms in back building are newer and larger, but if you prefer to save five or ten dollars per night to can take a smaller room in front. The hot tub and ice machine are in back building.
