    The experience was not fun or enjoyable. My first impression (positive) was that it was an average, older hotel that contained a lot of history.

    My first morning began with the shower handle coming off in my hand, causing me to have to use a multi-tool to regulate the water and shut it off so I could take a shower. (This was repaired later ...

  • After a bad trip to Milwaukee we went to The Drake

    When in Chicago I either stay at The Drake or The Palmer House Hilton because I love the old, classy hotels. We had to drive up to Milwaukee for a wedding and stayed in a horrible hotel...the halls smelled like boiled meat, the rooms were dirty, and the bed was miserable for two people to sleep in.

    The service at the Drake was lousy and the rooms sucked. I wouldn't stay there again if you paid my way. I'd rather stay at the Marshall. At least folks there are friendly and they have an elevator, sort of

    Not worth the $$. They charge for Wi-Fi...ended up going around the corner every morning at the coffee shop (free). Had 4/room...only 1 robe. Found candy on floor under the desk. Light bulb over sink was out. With all the other hotels in Chicago, we'll stay elsewhere next time.

    The concierge service was sub par. The concierge acted like every single one of my questions and requests was the biggest inconveinance. The pillows are horrible. the bed was very soft. The lounge was beautiful, but the prices on their wine was outrageous, and thier bloody mary's are o.k. but not worth $13.00. The bellhop/valet was some of the ...

    Outstanding hotel with tremedous history and a fantastic location. The breakfast is superb as well. The beach is a stone's throw away and you can walk to many local attractions.

    The Drake is a beautiful piece of Chicago history, perfectly maintained. Lovely comfortable and clean spacious rooms. Great service. Great location for shopping on the Magnificent Mile. Great for walking to the lakeshore.

  • Princess Diana Stayed Here..

    Out of all the hotels in Chicago, Princess Diana stayed here. It has old world charm. The bar and service there is excellent. The waiters amazingly great. Its an art of serving.
