I Love the Drake!

Great view but old rooms

Don't get me wrong -- the views from the Drake are amazing, looking right out over the lake. But the rooms make you feel like you're in a time capsule. Teeny bathrooms, old decorations. This hotel could shine again if they'd just update the interior. If you want a luxury stay, stay somewhere else.

My 3-day stay at The Drake Hotel was very disappointing. I found it to be very expensive and nothing special for the outstanding price.

The one thing that I have to say I love you most, would be the tea area. It is just so beautiful. The rooms are so nice and the people treat you so well. I cant wait to go back and I think that you sould go to this hotel!

Stayed in the Drake a while back. Lobby is absolutely gorgeous. Personnel outstanding. Very convenient to the 'Magnificent Mile' and it's many shopping choices. Great to stay in such a historical place. Only dissatisfaction is the rooms are a bit small. Otherwise, I love telling everyone I know who'll listen that I stayed at "The Drake"!

Charming hotel

I loved this hotel because it had the old ambience and charm that new hotels just don't have. The Drake has the most beautiful and the largest chandalier that I have ever seen seen in my life. The rooms were huge and very clean. The service was excellent. I would definitely stay their again because its sits in the perfect spot on Michigan Avenue.
