I visited this hotel this past fall and just last week. What a difference! The hotel has undergone a total tranformation. The guestroom was inviting and warm, Whitney's as always consitantly GREAT and what a change in the lobby so contemporary. They added another restaurant that is upscale and the lounge is updated with multiple tv's. Plus the staff is so friendly! I'll be back!

The Hilton Oaklawn hotel is very nice. The staff was friendly and the hotel was relatively clean. However, there was a commuter train less than 75 yards from my room. It ran for most of the night. The rooms were fine, but the night attendant was unfriendly and almost to the point of rude. I just had my wedding there in Jan. 07. The reception went beautifully, without a hitch. Our suite was amazing, and our guests were pleased with their rooms, too. The only thing that bothered us is that the staff didn't let us know when our block of reserved rooms had been filled - to open more, and they tried to charge our guests the regular rate instead of the wedding rate. Overall we were happy, though.
