We did not stay at the condos, but we visited the beach. It was so beautiful and quiet even over Labor Day weekend. My kids loved riding the waves and I snokeled a bit. We wouldn't recommend it to rent or buy, as the management doesn't seem to be concerned with the thefts, gang bashings or noise problems. Perhaps a little paint once in 20 years by the elevator and cleaning the entry way would be good. Especially with 18 units x 9 stories at $300+ per month maintenance fees. That's why we wouldn't recommend it, to rent or buy.

We loved the beach and the local feel of the neighborhood. This is not a touristy area so if you want to do anything other than hang out on the beach you will need a car. The closest grocery stores are within 3 miles. Public transport is on the main road outside.

The cabanas is not a hotel. It is a private residence building with owners renting units. THERE IS NO SWIMMING POOL.

DO NOT CALL THE CABANAS!!!!!!! THE MANAGER CANNOT RENT UNITS

The Cabanas are so perfect for the beach and the setting sunsets every evening. This was the most relaxing time in my life and our condo was like a baby ceasers palace. We will be back and most likely move there. It is the most un-congested beach on oahu we loved it.

We loved it at Makaha Beach Cabanas. Our 9th floor condo was awesome and a truly treasured find. The people were wonderful and the condo was awesome! Thanks for the wonderful stay in 917.
