we vacationed for 6days/5 nights and were fortunate enought to be located in a room w/ a partial ocean view. the hotel is conveniently located blocks away from shops and there are convenience stores on each corner, literally. there is also a delicious thai restaruant steps away. some complaints though, we were located on the 25th floor, and ...

Basic, Clean, Nice place to stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/01/05
I found this hotel is to comfortable, clean, nice place to stay in Waikiki. TheBus is near by, quite walkable to restaurants, but it is a few blocks to the beach areas. I would stay there again.
The staff was friendly and informative. Always with a smile and Aloha greeting.
Walking distance to Waikiki Beach. We loved the open front of the hotel where you can sit and enjoy your morning coffee! They upgraded our room at no additional cost, due to the room not being ready. Nice to have a refrigerator & microwave in the room for ...

Good place to sleep
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/28/05
Ohana Maile Sky Court offered affordable rates for two women traveling alone. The staff were pleasant as well. However, the room (two twin beds) was somewhat small. And the in-room coffee had a charge of $2 per three cup packett. No continental breakfast was provided and all calls (local or calling cards) made from the room carried a charge of .99 cents per call. The pool area was also smaller than it appeared online.
The day & night views of the city were fabulous. Otherwise, it was cramped w/elevators that kept breaking down, stinky bathroom soap, & unceasing pounding from all the surrounding constuction work. Parking, even in the guest's garage, was expensive & scarce. Visitor's couldn't meet & talk in the lobby due to the construction noise & ...

I loved my stay in this hotel. We got a great deal. Although the room was small, it was very clean and the view was wonderful! The information desk was very helpful and the service was great! Very friendly staff too!

Dirty and Smelled
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/22/05
From the airport to the hotel, Hawaii smelled like fresh flowers but when I got to the lobby elevators, it suddenly smelled like dirty socks and mold. I went to my room which still smelled and when I took off my shoes, the floor felt sticky and unclean. There were twin beds which I dont remember getting but anyways I pushed them together and found ...

Service without a smile.

The elevators were frequently out of service. The shower in the room would run at the right temperature and then suddenly scald you. When we let maintainence know about this and asked to have it fixed, they scowled. They then told us they fixed it and again we were hit with scalding water half way into the shower. The swimming pool allowed ...

Good for the budget
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/17/05
This was my first time to Hawaii, so I was suprised to be so far from the beach. I also thought the rooms were a bit small though they semmed to be clean and had basic kitchen- which we didn't use. It was a great rate so I shouldn't be suprised.
