    By sherry ann, 01/08/09
January 9th, 2009 *****Hotel room**** My husband and I were looking for a hotel kinda cheap in Laie because we had to install speakers in the area. We found this hotel online and paid 70+ a night and if Ive known and read the reviews before, I would never stay in this shitty hotel. I cant believe this hotel tricked so many people. The loud AC ...

  • It is what it is...
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/07/09
What did I like? $60/night through one of the online hotel sites. What didn't I like? Well... as I write this from the room (free wireless internet - get that in Waikiki), about the only thing I can complain about is the intermittently noisy A/C. Oh, and you can't buy alcohol nearby - drive about two miles south and you're good.

  • Yuk!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/13/08
This place need to be demolished before it gets any more infested by rats and all the little un-wanted creatures. My children were horrified of the smell, the condition etc. I couldn't put my baby on the floor because the carpet were so stained and filthy. The service is the worst ever. The worst place ever, worst experience in Paradise. I ...

  • The worst part of my trip to Hawaii
    By Danobou, 03/25/08
    An unpleasent experience.
The rooms were small, and uncomfortable. It was cramped. It wasn't very clean, but it was an ok place to stay at. Sure they had contenential breakfast and all but the serivice wasn't so great. In fact, I don't believe they did any cleaning at all.
It had a great location though, it was near a quiet, peaceful ...

  • dont stay there
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/26/08
i am a local and live about 40 minutes up the coast, on the north shore, this motel is horrible, ive never stayed there nor do any other locals I know, the whole town is mormon which means EVERYTHING is closed on sundays, no alcohol,etc...

if you want a great hotel go to turtle bay resort, its 15 minutes away and you can still drive to polynesian cultural center if youd like (in laie).

  • O M G - Horrible!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/01/08
What a dump! Run! Run! Run! The motel was old and very run down. The room was disgusting. The carpet was sticky and the linens smelled of bad cologne and BO. Our room was next to the garbage dumpster and the maids laundry area. They woke us up every morning with their loud talking and banging around. The window in the bathroom did not close ...

  • Bring bug spray and sheets...
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/26/07
We decided to get out of the tourist trap of Honolulu. We didn't know we were stepping back in time as well when we happened on this hotel. I have been all over the world and look for out-of-they-way family-owned places to soak up local flavor. The mattresses at this hotel felt and looked like they were the original matresses from when the ...

  • Mouse Hunt
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/25/06
Not only was the bathroom covered in ants, but we had a mouse running around our room all night! The location is perfect, but the rooms made me feel like I was staying in Mexico. Laie gives me the feeling of a dirty Mexican town on a beautiful island.

  • Appreciate what you have.
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/06/06
My family and I stayed here two weeks ago. It wasn't much to look at nor was the conditions of room suitable for my standards. However, We made the best of it, we enjoyed mingling with the community kids who snuck in for a swim at the pool, the staff were friendly and kind, I admired the polynesian hospitality something we never experience in ...
