I stay at this fantastic hotel on Kuhio every time I need to stay in Waikiki. I love the vibe as it is an older hotel that had a stylish renovation done a couple years ago. The staff is always full of aloha and the more we stay there the more we become friends. I live in LA and on Big Island and we stayed at the Bamboo on Halloween. Not only did ...

We liked the location, the price, the congenial staff, the clean, comfortable room with lanais, and poolside Continental breakfast. There were modern appliances in a full kitchen, a flat screen television and internet connection in the room. The hotel is within easy walking distance to the beach, restaurants and shopping. We would recommend this hotel.

This is a great hotel,
it isnt one of those huge hotels that you get lost in, it has 12 floors and it is a block away from the Waikiki Beach. The smaller size makes it perfect in the fact that everytime you come back to the hotel they know you and greet you. The rooms are actually really cool. I had the "moderate" room, which is the ...

Great Value

We had a corner room on the eleventh floor. The room was decent, a bit nicer than what I expected. The shower head is a bit low for tall people. We were surprised with a gift - chocolate covered macadamia nuts for the special occasion we were celebrating. We opened the box and ate most of them. The next day a few (harmless) ants found them and ...

What a dump!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/19/08
My wife and I recently stayed at the aqua bamboo for 2 nights on a business trip. It was terrible. We arrived late and were gone most of the following day--which was a good thing. When we checked in I told the counter attendant "just give us a clean, comfortable, quiet room"...the other employee behind the counter just smirked and said ...

I stayed at the Aqua Bamboo and Spa in December and have nothing but positive things to say! The hotel is located just a couple of blocks from Waikiki beach the service was EXCELLENT... they definitely have the ALOHA spirit! The rooms were clean and the price I payed to stay was unbeatable!
As a travel agent, I have my clients best interest ...
The hotel is very clean and the personnel are polite and nice. The location is excellent just a few steps from Waikiki beach and the action. Rooms are clean and the breakfast is just adequate. Internet connection is free, they also have surfing boards that you can borrow! I was there from Dec 10th till Dec 17th. Great for families. Swimming ...

Aqua Bamboo - Forget renting the private condo's
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/20/07
[POSTED OCTOBER 19, 2007]
The Aqua Bamboo is on a very busy and noisy street. It is nice, overall, and you can get discounts to about $75 per night. Just search on-line.
We are staying in a privately-owned condo in the hotel (owned by Linda Lee, room 302) and would not recommend this to anyone. The carpet is stained and smelly, the AC ...
