The rooms were comfortable and decorated nicely, and we felt at home staying there several nights. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Very convenient location for getting to Fort Myers or restaurants. The continental breakfast was adequate, but nothing to write home about. We never made it to the pool. A lower rate would have been nice, but I think the rates were typical for the area.

The manager must go.

The place is remodeling. The rooms are okay this is not a 5 star place. It is a 70.00 hotel room. Pets are allowed and the owners are not required to have them leashed. The manager knows this and when questioned ignores the issue. Poor management we checked out. The manager is Shirl. You can reach me at itsbettertowinit@yahoo.com. I don't hide.

I cant wait to go back!

Well, first off the place is not all that clean, however, if your not looking for clean, and your looking for drunk, than this is the right place for you. The beautiful tiki bar around the corner looked like home to perverts and diddlers alike. Cape coral only has 4 or 5 hotels, so just be prepared to buckle up and spend the dough.

Review Inquiry

I inquired with the hotel about the previous review, stating that a woman was mugged there. They knew what I was refering to and stated that it was a domestic dispute. The woman that it happened to was not even a guest. Her boyfriend was staying there.

this hotel and casa loma reccommended in cape
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/10/05
After checking out of the disgusting del prado inn my husband and I stayed here it was a couple bucks more. But alot more comfortable. The people that stay here are decent people with cars that aren't cheap. I think you can tell alot by a hotel by the cars parked in the lots. The service was great even though the only thing I needed them ...

Modest but a good value

Exellent front-desk and housekeeping staff, eager to please; lots of street noise, very dark hallways, cool Tiki bar poolside but a lot of over-imbibed patrons; not sure I would feel comfortable with younger children around the speech-slurred drinkers; price is appropriate and I would stay there again if looking for inexpensive place to stay briefly (one or two nights)

Not to my liking
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/22/05
It was not at all what I expected for the price I paid. The room smelled of ammonia or worse and the overall cleanliness/upkeep of the hotel was far below what I was expecting.
