I've been to Ft Myers Beach twice and both times I've stayed at the Outrigger Beach Resort. I'm not sure how much of a "resort" it is, but it's a great, inexpensive place with an expansive beach and nice rooms.

The Outrigger was a great place for vacation. We had a 3rd floor efficiency overlooking the water. The efficiency was fully equipped. The views were great, the room was clean, and the staff was friendly and accomodating. When we go back to Florida, this is the only hotel we will stay at.

The beachfront ground floor efficiencies are absolutely fabulous. From sunrise to sunset it is the greatest place to be. The service is great and the cafe is fabulous. We live in Florida and try to visit The Outrigger as often as possible.

A friend and I have had our girls trip here the past 2 years, 2007 and 2006! We love this place, we always get the beachfront room on ground level and it is totally worth it! The rooms are great, tiki bar, can't beat it and the food it awesome!!! This will always be our girl's trip!! Thanks Outrigger!!!
