While the hotel itself is definitely old and in need of remodeling, I will say that we had a good time there because of the kiddie pool. We had 4 children with us under the age of 6 and they had a great time. Towels were horrible...like rope on the new sunburn!
I saw all the negative reviews after I had reserved my room. I must admit that I was nervous about what we'd find when we got to the hotel. I am glad to say that I was very pleased with this hotel. We stayed in one of the kids' suites for 6 days. Our room was clean and I had no issues at all with this hotel. The front desk clerks were ...

Great for the Price!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/30/08
I was a little worried since I booked our room and THEN read all the comments posted (I thought no wonder the rate was so great!) but we just got back from a week at this hotel and we had a blast! There's no question it's a vintage hotel with all the rooms having the door outside but it just reminded me of all the road trips I took to ...

Priority Gold Club Member & STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/09/08
Hotel looks like it was built the 70s and is lacking maintenance and a well needed face lift. Furniture in the room was old and stained, and the bathroom was very out dated. The common areas look like what you would find in the projects, and the elevator was old and smelled like urine. Although, the hotel claims to have wireless internet, the ...

NEVER AGAIN - DON'T GO!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/03/08
Your pictures on your website make the hotel look inviting and lovely. However, once you get there the common areas are horrible. The pool area was disgusting and filthy. There was food and dirty diapers on the pool deck, lounge chairs and tables. The lounge chairs were moldy from lack of rinsing off daily. The towel bin was often empty and ...
After staying in Holiday Inns for over 40 years yours by far had to be the worst. The room was far from being super clean, paint dripping on the bathroom walls, drapes not functioning properly, air mattress deflated during the night, dead bolt not operating properly to mention a few items. I did express my feelings to the dsk clerk but an ...

kid & beach-friendly, but marginal for business trip
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/12/08
Good if you have kids or want easy access to beach and are ok with old-fashion basic rooms. If you are on business trip, this may be weak based on room quality and noisiness of park-like compound (shuffleboard, tennis, pools, etc.) Facility is 50 yrs old 27-acre location, probably one of the area's 1st given the amount of land. Multiple ...
The pool was dirty the halls and walkways were more then dirty, looks like they have never been cleaned. The grounds need cleaned up. House keeping slow to clean rooms. I heard other people complain while there too.
We stayed here in march of 2008 and we had fun for the most part. it does pay to speak up and inquire where your room is. we were in one of the buildings further from the beach, and on hind sight, i would request to be closer to the beach. also, the kis under 12 eat free, but be sure to let your server know at each meal who is eating free. we had a ...
