After staying at some of the other hotels in town and comparing prices and perks, this hotel is at the bottom of the list.

They didn't have a king-sized bed available (as per our reservations) so they put us in a handicapped-capable room with a queen-sized bed. No big deal, but a sign of things to come.

This room was great for the price. We only paid $75 per night. However, the walls are extremely thin. We could hear EVERYTHING our neighbors said and did. Good location. The hotel is big so it is often full of rowdy convention goers. If you visit on a weekend, don't pay 23 a day for parking. Just park on the streets which is free during the weekends.

I had a very big room,but I found some nail clippings on the bed, hair on the pillows, and crayons under the bed. The bed was made, however, they did not change the sheets. Also, the heater was not working. I stayed there in December 2007 so it was really cold.

The only negative comment is the need for more elevators to accommodate number of persons staying there. Needs a Starbucks inside the facility. Enjoy the open bar area where you can enjoy a drink and people watch. The food is very good with a wide variety of menu items. Rooms are quiet and very well kept, maintained.

The Hilton Washington is in a good location for touring the city, and for enjoying the excellent nearby restaurants and cafes. The front desk staff were very friendly, and the room was spacious and comfortable. I stayed at the hotel couple of months ago. Two months after my stay, Hilton charged me another several hundred dollars (which was a duplicate charge) for food and beverages. I have disputed this with my credit card company for months without resolution. I called the hotel finance dept over 5 times, still no resolution has been made.
