The mattress in my room was dirty, the hi-def tv's don't get a high-def signal, I called room service for a fork and they told me there would be a delivery fee. The valet that parked my car hit another car and the hotel refused to pay for the damage. I will never stay at a Hyatt hotel again.

The restautant is top of the line and at the top of the building. The wait staff and bar staff were extremely attentive. Atmosphere was quiet and calm. It was a great place for a conversation with friends or business associates. Also a great place for a romantic dinner. If you sit on the correct side, you an catch a glimpse of the sunset, but all seats have a view of the river. Top notch. Going back for Valentines day.

I stayed there for a convention earlier this year and found SO many little things that bugged me. Any one or two of them would have been OK, but when you end up with so many dissatisfiers, it was rather unpleasant. The biggest things that annoyed us:

I live in Maryland. Whenever we want to get away and have a relaxing weekend, my husbad and I will take our girls to the Hyatt in Crystal City and have a wonderful. The room is spacious and always clean and beautiful. The flat screen television is a nice touch. We also like the way the windows are tinted.

I enjoy coming to the Hyatt in Crystal City. The service is great. I will come back over and over.

Overall, Hotel was very nice. However, stayed for a convention with kids. Pool was frigid and hot tub was awful. If you don't have kids, I'd say go for it. With kids, look elsewhere. In fairness, they don't necessarily cater to kids, so this would be expected.
