Lets start with the one positive thing, it has a great veiw. My wife and I went there for our 2 year aniversery, we had our room reserved for 2 months in advance, and called 2 weeks in andvance to confirm this. When we arrived to check into our loft room with a jacuzzi on the porch we were told that room no longer EXSITS!!! They were in the ...
I am a returning patron--I am glad to see that someone is investing in a great hotel and making even better. Each and every employee-including the construction people were beyond friendly. I had a special person with me and she truly had a great time.
This was a great getaway. CA 1 is pretty curvy and windy, but once you get there, the staff is great and helpful! There is nothing around you except the resort itself, so hiking and relaxing is all there is to do. Rooms are good size, rustic wood, nice fireplace, most have hot tubs too.
Compared to all of the other places we stayed on our trip (Vancouver to San Francisco) this place was expensive with poor facilities. Not even coffee making or a fridge in the room.
It's all built in an interesting, grand architectural style, and was probably really nice a few years ago, but now everything just seems dusty, outmoded, and a ...
Timber Cove Inn has ocean views -- period. Obviously the owners are trying to get everything they can from the property without doing any upkeep. Granted it is designed to be rustic but at the prices charged I expect it to at least have clean; towels, bedding, carpet and restaurant.
If you want gray towels, see through bedding sheets, a modern ...
From the time we walked in until the time we left, the service was terrible. The barmaid seating us was rude and nasty to say the least. Our waitress did not smile, did not even offer us coffer or dessert after our meal. The only good thing was the food and another woman who was not our server. When we asked to speak to a manager we were told ...
I stayed there in August of 2004 with my 2 dogs. Timber Cove was listed in a book as being "pet friendly". The room was spotless and spacious with a rustic feeling, the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, and we had a wonderful stay. Especially thrilling was watching the seals off the coast at dusk, and the majestic views. ...
Traveling most the day down the beautiful coast with an RV, trailer, and motorcycles, our family (from Pittsburgh, West Virginia, Ohio and of course California) was looking for a nice spot for yummy food and friendly faces. This is NOT what we got a Timber Cove. We walked in to a rustic type of restaurant filled with cobwebs and cats. The ...
After driving on a highway full of sharp turns for 2 1/2 hours we reached Timber Cove Inn. We asked where check in was and they sent us to the end of the bar. There were several drunk people at the bar. The receptionist finally came to the end of the bar and signed us in. We carried our luggage down a dark corridor. When we opened our room door we ...
My husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and had saved up our money to do something special. It was our 25th year of marriage. We wanted to stay along the northern California Coast. After looking at several lodges on the internet we saw Timber Cove Inn and decided to call. The reservationist told us the Inn would be perfect for ...
