Good for the money and pet friendly.

I think fondly of this place. Right in the middle of town and also allows pets which can be hard to find.

During our stay for the Ventura dog shows we were getting ready in the am when i noticed a man standing in the bathroom window who apparently had been watching my friend and I drees and show that am. We enjoyed our 2 night stay at this hotel! I think my only wish for improvement would be that the pool were warmer. We were able to walk to the beach, a variety of places to eat and shop. There was a small park within a block. The post office was also near. It was a great place to get a 'feel' for California. There was even a Vegan ...

The Vagabond Inn Ventura is a bang for your buck! It may be an older motel, but it is well maintained and the bathroom was cleaner than the one at the Crowne Plaza. While the beds aren't the quality of a 5 star hotel, but they are comfortable. I stayed for two nights and found my non-smoking room to be just that. The AC worked great! The ...

staff & allowing pets this place is pretty uncomfortable. The sheets on our king bed were clean but scratchy; the non-smoking room we had reserved smelled of long ago smoke; bathroom was nasty: floor peeling up from baseboard, wall paper was curling and had moisture damage, uncleaned unbleached grout in bath/shower, apparently mgmnt had removed ...
