I am a frequent business traveler and am in the San Jose area every two weeks. I normally stay at the Double Tree on Gateway but it was full. I booked a room at the Four Points by Sheraton which I quickly realized was a HUGE mistake. I walked into my room to discover thin, velour blankets on both queen beds. The wallpaper was peeling off the ...

Forget the Four Points
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/24/05
Four Points is an inexpensive place to stay and the 2 shuttles they run around town are very useful/convenient. Unfortunately, what this hotel calls "queen" beds is a joke. They are hard, uncomfortable and undersized in most of the wings. If you're desperate, stay there....

Not coming back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/27/04
This "hotel" did not have an elevator. I stayed on business, and was put in a room on the second floor. I had to carry my very heavy luggage up a flight of stairs. My room also had a very distinct odor; I could not tell what it was, but it was identified by a fellow traveler as carpet glue (or something similar). It was very ...

upgrade your room
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/07/04
if you stay here, make sure you get one of the rooms in the main building. you will not get a room like the one in the picture unless you upgrade your room! if you must stay here, i highly recommend upgrading - otherwise, i'd choose another hotel!

Overpriced low-end motel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/02/04
Yuck, another 1960's Silicon Valley former chain motel tarted up, through the artful use of fancy bedspreads, as a "business hotel." Not! Rooms are small with low ceilings, thin walls, no light, and that vague moldy smell that characterizes low-end cement construction. And true to the motel heritage you can't really walk to your ...

Had a great time
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/05/04
I had read a few bad reviews before I went, but was surprised to see my room was beautiful, nice, and convenient. Had no problems at all when I stayed there. Maybe the rooms in the other buildings are bad, but I stayed in building 1, had a room with a King size bed (may have been an upgrade from standard?), and loved the room

Go with other options...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/02/04
This hotel is tired... If you are looking for value and don't mind swimming in a dirty pool, walking on dirty carpet, vending machines that don't work, or staying in a room with teal carpet, old bedspreads, and a closet of a bathroom then you will have an okay stay here. Otherwise, there are better options in the area!
