I often stay in San Jose for Union business. I was put up at the Holiday Inn, the Wyndham, and now the Doubletree. While the Doubletree is the nicest, their service is the worst.
On the second day of my three day stay. Housekeeping did not provide new towels or the iron that was missing the day before.
First off, I hate incidental holds ...

Travelers Beware!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/29/09
This is a nice hotel however....watch out for hidden items.
The parking at the hotel will run you $18.00 to $22.00 a night which I was not told ahead of time through the internet sight I booked with. I live in the SF bay area and could have taken other means into the area. The hideaway is only $11.01 per night.
I love this hotel! The service is great! And especially the front desk...I had a little problem with my reservation and the front desk took care of me right then and there no hassle. And the price is AWESOME, they really do try and accomodate for the guest. Policy or not they will try! And the food is AWESOME at spencers. They are remodeling ...
If you are staying in San Jose, I would definitely suggest this hotel. It is a little older, so some of the sections of the hotel are a little worn; however, the cleanliness and the professionalism of the staff can't be beat for the price. I highly recommend this hotel to stay at in San Jose.
They charged me an extra day for being 1 hour over on my parking. I called the manager and apparently this is their policy. Something to take into account when you're checking out parking rates.
I liked it because it was close and they always take good care of us. I have never had a problem getting the room I want with the ammenities I needed. The food is even pretty decent.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/11/06
The hotel had all of the amenities listed to be a very good hotel but most of the time it missed its mark. The Gym is hard to find, the Pool & Hot tubs had no special design, And the service; Well they pretty much dont know you exist after check in! I did not try the cookies (lol). But the resturants there were great! The sushi bar was ...

Great Business Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/27/06
I travel to San Jose about every three weeks and have been staying at this hotel for the past two years. If you are coming into town for business the Doubletree is perfect. It's located right next to the airport. In addition, the hotel has a gym, sushi bar, lively club, and a upscale restaurant. I have eaten at Spencer's several times ...
