My wife and I stayed two nights abd we both loved the ambiance and character of this hotel! Found the hotel staff very helpful and professional, the food was stellar and the rooms were very comfortable with 90+ degree days. Many shops and wine tasting rooms within 150 yards walk. Some reviews we read were downbeat, but we didn't see anything but a wonderful time! We heartily recommend staying at the Petersen!

We loved it! The rooms were beautiful, the Danish pasteries out of this world, and the food in the cafe wonderful. We also had good service and loved the cute little shops within walking distance just off the courtyard.

Nice hotel but some rude staff.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/05/05
My wife and I stayed in the Tower Suite, which was a lovely room, but we found the front desk staff left a lot to be desired. They were rather rude and slow to resolve problems that they themselves caused, and you just don't expect that from such a hotel.
