We enjoyed the overall environment and setting of the Lodge. However, the place had a very old feel ad stale aura. We enjoyed dinner at Club XIX but it is still a notch or so below Domaine Chandon in Napa, and Five Sails in Vancouver. We did enjoy Casanova's in Carmel thoroughly.

Every aspect of this place is sheer perfection. I have a friend that is a member of the golf club and we came to visit him from canada...we were treated like royalty. I highly recommend a stay if you like to be treated with the best!!!

What we loved the most was the overlook of the first hole. It was beautiful. The bathrooms were wonderful and everything about it was perfect. I would give in 6 stars.

Spent a wonderful, relaxing, romantic weekend here with my boyfriend. Wonderful location on 17 mile drive, wonderful service, wonderful restaurants, wonderful wonderful wonderful. I did not want to go home!!

PS - the hotel allows dogs, so bring your pooch! they will be treated just as well as you are.

This was an experience of a lifetime. I gave this to my husband for his 50th birthday. I reserved the least expensive room but they upgraded us to a FABULOUS suite on the 18th fairway overlooking Carmel Bay. It was like a fairy tale!!! We had candies everytime we left and returned to our room. Our fireplace was restacked and ready for us to light. We were treated like royalty. I can't say enough good about this wonderful, magical place.
